Portable Size Displays

These new small-sized (portable) displays provide high contrast ratios up to 600:1, luminance up to 400 nits, and wide temperature ranges from -20° to 70° C. The 3" and 3.5" are transflective TFT-LCDs offering up to 20% reflectivity.

• 3" Transflective offers a wide format screen with 400 nits luminance and 105:1 contrast ratio at 240x400 resolution
• 3.5" Transflective provides 160 nits luminance, a contrast ratio of 105:1, and operating temperatures of -20° to 70° C
• 3.5" Transmissive provides 400 nits luminance, a contrast ratio of 450:1, and operating temperatures of -20° to 70° C
• 4.3" WVGA provides 200 nits luminance, a contrast ratio of 400:1, and operating temperatures of -20° to 70° C
• 5" WVGA provides 300 nits luminance, a contrast ratio of 600:1, and operating temperatures of -20 to 70° C. This is Optrex' first IPS display that achieves viewing angles of 85/85/85/85.

New WXGA/WVGA Wide Format Displays Optimized for Industrial Applications

Optrex announces new Wide Format LCDs. These displays are an upgrade from the current 4:3 format, with resolutions of 800 x 480 on small screens to 1280 x 800 on larger screens. These wide format LCDs provide a more natural human range of view. They provide excellent definition for video or data, additional viewing area for more information, and are ideal even in high ambient-light environments.

These displays offer a standard interface and a slim bezel design. Also, outstanding optical performance, such as achieving 600 nits brightness, up to 700:1 contrast ratio and a 160/140 viewing angle.

Wide format modules shown at SID 2008 will include 3", 4.3", 5", 9", 12.1", 14.1", and 17.5".

Super High Brightness LCDs - Up to 1500 nits Luminance

With TFTs at up to 1500 nits luminance, Optrex displays provide legibility and image clarity in high ambient light environments - even direct sunlight. Wide Viewing technology permits display readability at angles up to 170 degrees. Anti-reflective coating reduces surface reflectivity to approximately 0.3% with no decrease in luminance or contrast and no increase in power.

• 6.5" offers 600 nits luminance and 700:1 contrast ratio with operating temperatures from -20° to 70° C
• 10.4" offers 1500 nits luminance and 700:1 contrast ratio with operating temperatures from -20° to 70° C
• 12.1" offers 1000 to 1500 nits luminance and 500: to 700:1 contrast ratio with operating temperatures from -20° to 70° C
• 15" offers 800 or 1500 nits luminance and 450:1 or 600:1 contrast ratio with operating temperatures from -20° to 70° C
